List of New York State Historic Sites

State Historic Sites not designated National Historic Landmarks

New York State has 38 state-designated historic sites.[1] Twenty-two are also National Historic Landmarks of the United States, and are described in List of National Historic Landmarks in New York.[2] There are sixteen others. Some may be sites of national importance, which might have been NHL-eligible but, as state-owned and -administered sites, may have had lessened need for additional protection. Others may be of state-level but not national importance.
